Jul 24 2007: The contract for the €18.8 million Wicklow Wastewater Treatment Plant and Sludge Treatment Centre was signed by Wicklow County Council and Veolia Water on 24h July 2007.
The plant will serve the towns of Wicklow, Ashford and Rathnew which is a population equivalent of 34,000. Work on the plant which Veolia will design, build and operate will begin in September 07 and will take two years to complete.
